SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS:
•    Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering or any related discipline.
•    Minimum of 5 years of working experience in Planning, Development, Maintenance, Operation in Electrical Works and Power Distribution.
•    Strong technical and troubleshooting skills of electrical system such as switchgear/ breaker trip, etc.
•    Proven experience in the installation maintenance and service ability testing of electrical system and equipment in port business and industrial environments.
•    Must be able to efficiently supervise the proper maintenance of the electrical system.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Malay.  
•    Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:    

The roles are to support the various responsibilities of the Electrical Department including:

•    To modify, diagnose and carry out improvement projects to increase the efficiency & reliability of facilities machinery.
•    Handle electrical emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.
•    Responsible for the development & implementation of electrical projects being assigned.
•    Ensure inspection and checklist for the inspection of the works which includes work orders is properly executed.
•    Able to perform troubleshooting and fault rectification during daily operations.
•    Calculate the required materials quantity for replacement, modification, and new installation.
•    Design and revise schematic diagram as required.
•    Supervise a team in planned and corrective maintenance.
•    Ensure safety requirement is being followed in the supervised area.
•    Assist in managing monthly/quarterly analytic reporting of OPEX, CAPEX, maintenance activities, performance data, and system downtime.
•    Provide training to subordinates and perform task as assigned by superior.
•    Liaise with local authority and get necessary approval for project implementation.
•    Cooperate and communicate effectively with operations and other department team members to aid and technical support.
