Job Description

  1. To coordinate with Contractors for all project sites to develop and maintain HSE best practices, including the promotion of HSE and creating awareness on the importance of HSE aspects.
  2. To liaise with Authorities, Internal Auditors and External Auditors for any HSE / Sustainability related inspections, observations or audits and oversee and coordinate the implementation of corrective actions, mitigation strategies and response for resolution and closing of issues.
  3. To ensure all work place activities (project sites / offices / sales galleries) comply with all HSE regulations and requirements in order to prevent / minimize safety hazards and environmental pollution during planning and construction stage.
  4. To conduct and coordinate routine HSE inspections and monitoring across all project sites and offices / sales galleries to meet the minimum HSE score as determined by IJM Land Group Quality Management, with close monitoring of the HSE aspect & ESG practices at workplaces.
  5. To conduct accident investigation (if any) and oversee and coordinate the implementation of corrective actions and mitigation strategies to prevent recurrence at all project sites and offices / sales galleries.
  6. To prepare, coordinate and compile the Health, Safety & Environmental Report and Quality & Environmental Management Review Report for reporting to Management and IJM Land Group Quality Management.
  7. To champion sustainability and coordinate and compile monthly ESG / GHG data from all project sites and offices / Sales galleries for quarterly / annual reporting to IJM Group Sustainability.
  8. To regularly assess the conformance of all project sites and regional offices / sales galleries to and effectiveness of the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
  9. To understand and ensure compliance of all project sites and regional offices / sales gallery to all HSE related management systems in Malaysia such as MS 1722, OSHA, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ESG policies.
  10. To assist in the implementation of the Environmental Management System for all project sites and regional offices / sales galleries.
  11. Any other related assignment as assigned when necessary.

 

Job Requirement

 

  • Possesses at least Diploma/ Degree in Safety and Health or equivalent.
  • Certified Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH.
  • Knowledge of Relevant International/ Malaysia Management System Standard, i.e. MS1722, ISO45001 and ISO14001.
  • At least 10 years working experience in a Construction/Property Development worksite environment.
  • Must have strong critical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills.
